W.C.M.H.'s Diagnostic Imaging Department is a full-service department with board certified radiologists available 24 hours a day with-in minutes of the hospital.   This department is staffed 24 hours a day by technical staff who are all certified in their respective disciplines.

The radiographic area has multi-types of equipment to provide for a wide range of patient imaging needs.  This equipment includes portable equipment, which enables the department to service local nursing homes.

The women's imaging area is staffed with two staff mammographers who are board certified by the A.R.R.T. and A.C.R.  The mammography equipment is all certified by the F.D.A.  In addition to the mammography equipment the Women's Imaging Center houses one of the latest bone density imaging tools in Washington County and surrounding areas.  Bone density imaging equipment is one of the newest diagnostic tools being used to define osteopororis and/or a woman's risk factors for osteoporosis.  A bone densitometry examination is a 20 minute procedure which can be a major player in the prevention and treatment of bone loss in older females.  Early detection of bone loss can be a huge step in the prevention of hip and spine fractures caused by the loss of calcium in the skeletal structure of the body.

The Vascular and Echocardiography areas provide fast and accurate information which can be used in the treatment of many major debilitating and life threatening vascular diseases.

Any of the areas in the diagnostic imaging department can accept any licensed or certified provider's requests for examination of patients.
