AUGUST 2003 NEWSLETTERThe Relay for Life fundraiser held on August 22, 2003 was a wonderful success, raising approximately $45,000. Washington County Memorial Hospital was proud to be a part of such a worthwhile fundraiser. A Memorial Service was held for Ronda Gruhala on August 29, 2003 Her name is now inscribed on the stone in the hospital's Memorial Garden and a granite bench has been placed in front of Healthway Primary Care. Ronda will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Clark Duncan, Hospital Administrator has announced the planning stages of a Washington County Memorial Hospital Foundation. This charitable foundation would allow the hospital to raise funds for capital improvements and equipment. Patient rooms at Washington County Memorial Hospital now have a new feature. A Patient Education channel called TipTV has been installed. This feature is on channel 14 on the in-room programming. The hospital purchased a new blood banking system for our laboratory. This new system will make proficiency testing on blood banking standards very efficient. |
