January 2004Washington County Memorial Hospital looks forward to a safe and healthy new year for all. The hospital is proud to announce that our administrator, H. Clark Duncan, Jr. has been named Missouri Hospital Association's Southeast District Council President for 2004. As president, Mr. Duncan will direct input from council members regarding national, state and regional health care policies to the MHA Board of Trustees. District council presidents also select recipients of MHA's Excellence in Governance and Visionary Leadership awards. Mr. Duncan has been with the hospital since December 2000 and is currently a diplomate in the American College for Healthcare Executives. (Taken from MHA Press Release) Washington County Memorial Hospital welcomes Dr. Paul Wardlaw and Dr. Scott Russell to the Medical Staff. These doctors will work as hospitalists covering certain weekend call obligations for our Active Staff. This will not only alleviate the amount of call coverage that is required of our small active staff but will also be a great service improvement to the hospital and reduce some delays in the transfer of patients from the emergency room. |
