September 2005 Newsletter1) Barbara Ellzey, M.D., Robert Graves, D.O., and Paul Geiger, MD. have been contracted for locum tenens physician staffing of Healthway Primary Care beginning 9/21/05, for a period initially to extend through October. Beverly Miller, RN, BC, FNP has accepted the positions as full-time nurse practitioner for Health Way Primary Care. She will begin full-time duties Monday, October 24, 2005
2) Phase 2 of the hospital’s contruction and renovation is well underway. Respiratory Therapy is almost completely relocated into the new department. Demolition and renovation for the laboratory and rear half of the new Emergency Department are on schedule. Interior corridors are in process of being refurbished. The new flagpole is installed. Demolition and renovation of the nursing station and surrounding areas is scheduled to begin the week of October 3.
3) The Hospital Auxiliary has a significant number of new members since the new front lobby and reception area opened and since the gift shop was expanded and remodeled.
5) On Friday, September 9th, a barbecue dinner was cooked for and served to hospital employees as a special treat. Hopie Jenkins did most of the planning and Allan Sucharski did most of the cooking. It seemed to be an appreciated by all who attended. |
